Help Clear the Murphy Animal Shelter
The Murphy Animal Shelter is participating in the fifth annual nation-wide Clear the Shelter event on Aug. 17. In an effort to find as many animals homes as possible, all adoption fees will be waived including microchipping and spaying or neutering. The shelter is offering cats and dogs ranging from a few months to a few years old. The event will last from 9:30 a.m. until 5 p.m., or when they clear the shelter.
One of the animals you can adopt for free on Aug. 17 is Sabrina, a grey tabby cat. Sabrina is three months old and full of life. She is a short-haired domestic cat, perfect for first time cat owners and families. If you’re looking for a loving pet to grow up with your children, Sabrina is a perfect match!
Rachel and Ross are tan and black puppies from the same litter featured at the shelter right now. Ross is mostly black while Rachel is mostly tan. They have already been spayed and neutered and have their rabies shot, so they are ready to bring straight home. Rachel and Ross are only seven months old and love to play. They are both sweet hound mixes who will need some training when brought home in order to get out all their puppy energy. These siblings can be adopted separately and will be full of life wherever they go.
Another dog available at the animal shelter is a female named Phoebe. Phoebe is one year old and already knows some basic commands. She is a border collie mix who has been spayed, ready to be brought straight to her new family! Phoebe is an energetic dog who will need a home with plenty of room to run and play. She is very sweet and obedient and will be sure to amaze you with her intelligence.
You can adopt Sabrina, Rachel, Ross or Phoebe for free on Aug. 17. Want to give one of them a home? Please contact Officer Tammy Drake at 972-468-4226 or email@example.com. Stop by for a visit at the Murphy Animal Shelter located at 205 N. Murphy Rd. (behind old City Hall) Monday through Friday, from 8am to 5pm. Clear the shelter this Saturday!
