Plano East Golden Girls Host Annual Training Camp

Every summer, the directors of the Plano East Golden Girls host an annual camp for current and incoming members of the drill team. Mackenzie McCall, PESH faculty member and team director, uses this time in order to teach routines that the team will perform throughout the year. These camp days are extensive, with days lasting eight hours and are filled with team building exercises, food and dancing.

The officers for the Golden Girls are always in communication with the directors in order to “run their own practices”.

As a team, the Golden Girls realize the importance of these practices and work hard to create a sisterhood. The whole team actively participates in activities throughout these practices, and even though the days are long, the team says that they “have tons of fun, and already love the team”.

Both directors, Mackenzie McCall and Brittany Webster, are very excited for this upcoming season and look forward to “the sisterhood” that has already started forming from these practices.
