Pet of the Week - Good Things Come in Threes

Pet of the Week - Good Things Come in Threes

This week, the Murphy Animal Shelter is featuring three amazing dogs. Each dog has their own special quality that makes them a perfect pet for anyone!

Scooby is a super sweet two-year-old plot hound mix. Named after memorable Scooby-Doo, you will love to have Scooby by your side in the adventures of life. As he is still a young puppy, Scooby still needs some training. Scooby is full of energy and is guaranteed to brighten the mood of everyone he’s around.

Penny is a female Dachshund mix. At eight-years-old, Penny is an older dog, meaning you won’t find her running around the house or jumping around with excitement. Instead, Penny takes up the role of a lap dog, and will spend hours enjoying quality time on your lap. Although she may be shy at first, you’ll soon find that Penny is a very loving dog and will become an important part of your family.

Shay is a six-month-old German shepherd mix in need of a new home. She is a very active dog and certainly still has that puppy energy. Shay enjoys running around, but also has a tendency of jumping, making it advised that she not be near young children. Although in need of some training, Shay is still a very sweet puppy and will certainly brighten any home she comes in to.

Scooby and Shay each have an adoption fee of $85. Penny has an adoption fee of $45, however she would benefit from dental. Want to give one of them a home? Please contact Officer Tammy Drake at 972-468-4226 or tdrake@murphytx.org. Stop by for a visit at the Murphy Animal Shelter located at 205 N. Murphy Rd.
