Summer Fun Heats Up at WHS Football Camp
Third through sixth grade boys attempted to beat the summer heat while attending Wylie High
School’s Camp of Champs from July 16 – 19. “During the week we worked with the kids on
specific position drills and taught a broad overview of the game of football. We also talked about
what it’s like during a typical week as a high school athlete,” explained WHS Coach Lionel
Wrenn. “We’re going to time them on the forty and many other things we test the high school
kids on. They are learning different positions and how it all comes together.” As the week came
to a close, an obstacle course was set up to improve each player’s football skills.
