Dirt is Being Turned in Murphy
There are currently four construction sites in Murphy. Jared Mayfield, City of Murphy Director of Economic and Community Development, provided updates on the following sites:
210 FM 544: Timber Ridge Center. There will be four buildings at this location, one of which will be a free standing (Lot 1) Jason’s Deli which will be on the eastern end (nearest Hawthorne Drive) of the property. On the site plan, Lot 2 is listed as ‘Proposed Restaurant’. Lot 3 is listed as a ‘Proposed restaurant (7,000 SF)/retail (11,984 SF) with 1,400 SF breezeway. The breezeway is between Lot 3 and 4. There are no specifications listed on Lot 4. The buildings will match the architecture of the buildings across FM 544 located in Murphy Marketplace. Building plans have been received and approved by the city. The city has not received specific tenant information from the developer at this time.
415 E. FM 544: PetSuites of America (located behind RaceTrac) at North Maxwell Creek Road. The building will be 13,900± SF. Building plans are approved. Site plan, landscape plan, building elevations and construction plans have been approved.
North Murphy Road and north of McMillen Road: Oasis Springs Manors (located north of First Baptist Murphy) will be single-family homes. There will be 31 lots ranging in size from 9,000 to 12,500 square feet. Minimum home size is 2,500 square feet. There will be three new streets within the subdivision. It is being developed by First Crescent Enterprises, LLC.
150 Brand Road: Medical Offices of Murphy (located behind Schlotsky’s). There could be up to 8 office suites, four facing Brand Road and four more on the other side of the building. Total building square footage is 9,544. The individual suites could be combined in various ways. 9,544 square feet /8 = 1193 square feet.
The city does not have an estimated completion date on any of these buildings.
