Hunt Hounds Shine At Movie Mania Field Day

Hunt Hounds Shine At Movie Mania Field Day

For the thirteenth straight year the Hounds from Hunt Elementary participated in a wet and wild field day that each student eagerly anticipates all year. The event, which included over 150 volunteers, is thoughtfully planned an organized by P.E. teachers Jan Thomas, Ashley Dodge and Tina Wilson. The event theme was "Movie Mania" and included over 35 events such as Harry Potter's Quidditch, Lego Ninjago Volleyball, Wreck It Ralph Belly Bumpers, Little Mermaid Water Limbo and many more. When asked why this day was so important PE Coach Jan Thomas stated "The kids adore P.E. and this is a day they get to have P.E. for a majority of the day. " In addition to having fun the students are taught and display sportsmanship by completing a special handshake after each event. Coach Thomas added "seeing the fun they are having and the smiles on their faces makes all the preparation and work that goes into field day worth it."
