Mavericks Compete in District Track Meet

The MMS 7th and 8th grade boys and girls competed against all 12 middle schools from Plano ISD at Kimbrough Stadium on March 22nd. The meet was a huge success for Murphy Middle School with all teams placing in the team results. On the boys side the 7th grade team came in second place with 92 points and 8th grade scored 72 points and also claimed second place. The girls 7th grade team tallied 81 points for third place and the 8th grade girls took home first place with an impressive 104 points.

7th girls 4x200 - 3rd place Kalia Moore, Carly Shaw, Avery Adame, Kennedi Wright
7th girls shot put - 2nd place Taylor Haggan, 3rd place Taniz Amos
7th girls high jump - 1st place Kennedi Wright
8th girls 1600m - 1st Megan Lam, 2nd Danielle Tillery
8th girls 4x200 - 2nd place Nylah Jenkins, Laura Connely, Alexa Delapaz, Peyton Spriggs
8th girls high jump - 1st place Ada Anamekwe, 2nd place CeCe Walker
8th girls shot put- 1st place Naomi Richards, 2nd place Nora Ritchie
7th boys high jump - 1st place Harris Boyd
7th boys 4x400 - 1st place Michael Mortel, Harris Boyd, Cooper Crow, Ashton Foster
8th boys 4x200 and 4x100 - 1st place Andrew Chu, Caleb Bergman, Chidozie Igwe, Justin Lewis
8th boys 100m - 1st place- Chidozie Igwe
