Plano East Varsity Loses On Late Surge From Allen

The Eagles jumped out to a commanding 5-0 lead against the Panthers scoring all five runs with only one hit in the top of the first. PESH began to claw back in the bottom half of the inning with Joey Ericsson reaching on a single followed by a deep two-run shot by Chase Cotton. Ben Baker-Livingston came in to pitch for Plano East in the top half of the second holding the Eagles scoreless for three innings and giving his team a chance for a comeback. The Panthers closed the gap adding two more runs in the bottom of the third courtesy of a single by Andrew Mills to bring the score to 5-4 Allen. That was a close as the Panthers were able to get as their bats went cold and Allen rallied late. The Eagles expanded their lead with a run in the fifth and then put the game out of reach with nine runs in the sixth inning for the 15-4 win.
