Plano East track Athletes Compete in Prestigious Jesuit-Sheanar Relays

This past weekend, several Plano East varsity track athletes participated in one of the top regular season meets, the Jesuit-Sheanar Relays in Dallas.

In the early section of the Boys 800 – Jeffrey Sillers placed 3rd in his heat and 10th overall with a 1:59.49.

Carson Armijo earned 2nd place in Discus with a new Personal Record of 124’7”, an improvement of 22’ over her throw last year at the meet.

In the boys 1600 – Grant Wilcox finished 5th with a 4:21.58. After falling with 400 meters to go – Devin Vallejo got back up to finish 8th. Hudson Yarborough rounded out the Plano East mile runners who qualified for the meet.

In the girls 1600 – Martha Brown placed 22nd.

Plano East will look to continue to improve on their results at the district meet next Wednesday & Thursday at Kimbrough Stadium.
