Murphy Middle Competes in First Track Meet of the Season

On March 7th, the Murphy Mavericks track team competed in the Middle School Cluster Meet at Plano East. The Mavericks faced Armstrong, Bowman, and Otto in their first meet of the season. Events at the competition included the 1600, 800, 400, and 200 runs, 3 relay races, and the hurdles. On the field, the athletes had an opportunity to contest in the triple jump, long jump, discuss throw, and shot put. Murphy performed well in the meet, proving they will be a tough opponent in the upcoming season. The Maverick’s next meet will be against Bowman at Kimbrough Stadium on Wednesday, March 21st. The field events begin at 4:15 and the running events start at 4:30.
