Hunt Hounds Celebrate Annual Thanksgiving Feast
As Thanksgiving quickly approaches, Hunt Elementary School’s kindergarten classes came together to celebrate their annual Thanksgiving Feast on Nov. 16. Excitement and joyous laughter could be heard throughout the school’s cafeteria as parents, teachers and students spent time together before the holidays. The room was filled with fall décor as long tables were topped with pumpkins and colorful leaves. Turkey-shaped bags, overflowing with popcorn and goldfish, lined each table as smiles could be seen at every turn.
Tiny guests wearing turkey hats patiently waited in the buffet line as Hunt’s annual Thanksgiving Feast finally began. Volunteers served crispy chicken nuggets with sides of macaroni and cheese, corn and fluffy mashed potatoes. Rolls were a part of the delicious buffet, along with an array of fresh fruit. Each kindergartener’s eyes grew wide as they reached the dessert table filled with a variety of flavorful cookies.
As students celebrated with family and friends, they shared the many reasons they are thankful and look forward to giving thanks throughout the holiday season. Vada is thankful because she loves her family and Ava is happy her family loves her so much. Tidus is thankful God created his family while Chance is thankful for his brain since it helps him learn. Earth is important to Akshay and Jaxson appreciates his dad for taking him to McDonalds. As kindergarteners give thanks for their annual feast, Hunt Elementary School’s students and staff hope everyone has a safe and happy Thanksgiving Day.
