ELLIS ISLAND CAT RESCUE CARETAKER NEEDED

Ellis Island Cat Rescue, located in Murphy, needs a responsible adult to work mornings and evenings. This job would be perfect for a stay-at-home mom or college student. Responsibilities include loving on cats, feeding cats, changing water, and scooping litter boxes. The job has some light cleaning such as sweeping, washing feed bowls, and replacing dirty linens in the winter. This takes 30-40 minutes in the morning (depends on your ability to get job done) and 20 minutes in the evening--if you can resist the cats begging you for attention! Training is on-the-job and in written form.

Morning feedings can begin as late as 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Evening duties from 4-6 pm. The time depends on the amount of loving you do with kitties. Loving is a requirement because there are 33 needy cats at the sanctuary.

As an animal facility there are no holidays off. Of course some events can be arranged for with advanced notification. The animals need daily care just as your pets at home do. This is a Charity Organization; however, there is a stipend of $100 to $130 a month. Transportation is required.
