Child Drowns in Swimming Pool
Murphy TX – On Sunday, June 7, 2009, at approximately 8:12 p.m., the Murphy dispatch center received a 9-1-1 report of a missing 2-year old child in the 300 block of Willow Wood. Upon arrival of Murphy Police and Murphy Fire personnel, neighbors and family members were involved in a search of the neighborhood.
The body of Bree Robison was discovered at the bottom of the family swimming pool. Firefighters removed the child’s body and CPR was immediately administered but was unsuccessful in reviving the toddler. Murphy Emergency Medical personnel transported the victim to the Richardson Regional Medical Center at Renner.
Murphy police are continuing an investigation of the circumstances that led to the child’s death.
