Murphy, Texas (April 15, 2009) –

North Murphy Road between Betsy Lane and McWhirter Road has been closed to both northbound and southbound traffic due to an accident.? A portion of the bridge over Maxwell Creek has been damaged.? The Texas Department of Transportation will need to inspect the bridge to assess the amount of damage in order to determine what repairs will be necessary.? At this time, it is not known when the roadway will be open to traffic.? Motorists are urged to use caution in the area and to seek alternate routes.
