Yesterday, amidst tight security, the United States Department of Agriculture brought one lion and two tigers to In-Sync Exotics Wildlife Rescue in Wylie after their removal from an undisclosed location.  Apparently there is an investigation underway concerning the abuse and neglect of not only these three rescued exotic cats, but others that have been or are still in the owner’s  care.

Both tigers have stayed in their dens today, one not eating at all although visibly thin. The other tiger, Apollo, is almost bald from an apparent skin condition and has open sores on his tail. The lion, Kahn, although acclimating well to his new surroundings, bleeds from the end of his tail
which he has been knawing.

Vicky Keahey, In-Sync founder and president, said that the facility’s veterinarian would be out later today to examine the three new exotic cats to determine the course of treatment needed to nurse them back to health.

In addition to the anticipated medical expenses there will also be new enclosures to build.  Donations of any amount are greatly needed at this time.  Please consider helping this non-profit rescue facility provide a clean, safe and loving atmosphere for these abused and neglected exotic cats. www.insyncexotics.com
