Murphy Tx – The Murphy Police Department along with the Murphy Fire and Rescue Department responded to the 400 block of Rainforest Court in response to a 9-1-1 telephone call, at about 9:26 a.m., Monday, December 29, 2008, of a teen found in a bathtub under water. The child’s mother found him and removed him from the water. The victim’s brother called 9-1-1 and then began CPR. Sgt. Mike Feemster arrived first to the scene and immediately relieved the brother of the victim who had started CPR before police and rescue units arrival. Upon the arrival of MFR ambulance personnel, Sgt. Feemster was relieved by paramedics who took over providing medical attention to the victim.

Prior to the arrival of Murphy first responders, the Murphy dispatch center, with the assistance of the Plano PD’s emergency medical dispatch services, ensured that the victim’s mother received pre-arrival instructions. The victim, a 12 year old male, later identified as Conner Yeager, was transported by MFR to Richardson Regional Medical Center, Renner Campus. After stabilizing the victim, he was transported to Children’s Medical Center - Dallas, where he passed away during the night.

The victim has been transferred to the Dallas Medical Examiner’s office.
