Murphy, TX - On 11-12-2008, at about 11:08 p.m., officers of the Murphy Police Department responded to the 400 Block of E. FM 544 in reference to a Hit and Run involving a pedestrian that was struck by a motor vehicle and later pronounced deceased by the Collin County Medical Examiner’s Office at the scene.
The victim was not identified at the time and the body was released to the Collin County Medical Examiner’s Office for further investigation.
The victim has since been identified as Sharletha E. Cobbs of the Oak Cliff area of Dallas, Texas. She was 28 years of age.
The investigation is on-going. Upon completion of the investigation, the case will be referred to the Collin County District Attorney’s Office for further action.
