Murphy Tx – The City of Murphy will be holding a Pancake Breakfast Fund Raiser on Saturday November 1, 2008 from 8:00am to 11:00am in the Fire Station Bay at 206 N. Murphy Road, 75094.  The cost is $5.00 per person with all proceeds being contributed to the Medical Fund of Ret. Lt. Benny Ferguson.

Lt. Ferguson was with the Murphy Police Department for more than twenty years until his retirement in May 2007.  This past July, he suffered a stroke which has left him paralyzed with limited movement.  He recently returned home and is attending physical therapy twice per week with the hopes of increasing it to five times per week.  He is currently using a loaned electric wheelchair.  Lt. Ferguson and his family have acquired numerous medical bills that are not covered by insurance and are very appreciative of any and all contributions made.  

If you are unable to attend the Pancake Breakfast and would like to make a donation, you may do so in person or by mail to the attention of Roni Brackett at the Police Department at 206 N. Murphy Road,  Murphy, Texas, 75094; or you may go to any Bank of America location.  Checks should be made payable to the “Ferguson Medical Fund”, and will automatically be deposited into the account without the need of an account number.
