Murphy, Texas (July 24, 2008) –

Starting Monday, July 28, 2008 at 9:00 a.m., TxDOT (Texas Department of Transportation) repair crews will begin asphalt repair on North Murphy Road from just north of FM 544 to the Murphy city limits.


Crews will keep at least one lane of traffic open at all times. When a section of a traffic lane is temporarily closed, flagmen will be on hand to direct traffic.

The asphalt repair will take place on weekdays between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. The asphalt repair is expected to be completed by September 1, 2008.

Motorists are urged to use caution in the area and plan to use alternate routes.
