Murphy, Texas (April 10, 2008) –

The section of North Maxwell Creek Road – between FM 544 and the Kansas City Southern Railroad – will be closed beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, April 21, 2008. The closure is scheduled to continue for approximately three (3) months. The temporary road closure is necessary while crews reconstruct the roadway from its current two lane asphalt configuration to a three lane concrete curb and gutter roadway.

A marked detour route will in be in place utilizing FM 544 between North Maxwell Creek Road and North Murphy Road and utilizing North Murphy Road between Tom Clevenger Road and FM 544.

Motorists are urged to use caution in the area and plan to use alternate routes.
