To the Residents of Murphy, Historians, Patriots,
Family & Friends of Those Departed and Laid to Rest in the
Decatur – Maxwell – Murphy Cemetery:

You are cordially invited to attend a
Memorial Day Observance
at the cemetery on
Friday, May 30, 2008
5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Hosted by the
Cemetery Association of Murphy, Inc.

This fundraising event will include tours of the
cemetery given by the Murphy Middle School
 Junior Historians; Music by the Murphy Middle
 School Girl’s Choir; The Colors presented by
 Boy Scout Troop 1776.

Refreshments complements of Albertson’s Grocery

A brief program at 6:30 p.m. will honor veterans
and all dearly departed, with an
 opportunity to "Adopt a Monument" for restoration.


*Access the cemetery from Tom Clevenger Road if dry ground
 conditions exist, otherwise parking is available  behind the Murphy Middle School at the park entrance.
