Chamber presents four scholarships to Murphy graduates

Winners of the Murphy Chamber Scholarship Foundation scholarships were recognized at the June 19^th Chamber luncheon. More than 50 students applied for the scholarships. From Wylie ISD, Christina Chatterpaul was awarded $1,500 and William Cotton was awarded $1,000. From Plano ISD, Neil McHenry was awarded $1,500 and Anna Shapovalova was awarded $1,000.

Due to conflicts, Neil McHenry was the only recipient in attendance.

iPad Drawing

The Murphy Chamber Scholarship Foundation held a drawing for an iPad during the luncheon.? After several months of ticket sales for the drawing, Christian Mondy was the lucky winner.? The proceeds of this fundraiser directly support the four scholarships the Foundation awards each year along with two teacher grants.
