Murphy, Texas, Sept 10, 2010 – As of Sept 14, Murphy area residents will join the nationwide list of concerned citizens in cities and towns who are forming non-partisan, non-political “Articles of Freedom Meet-up Groups,” as part of Operation People Power, a Plan to restore constitutional governance in America. 

The open forum will take place every Tuesday evening from 7:00pm – 8:30pm at A Taste of Italy (Italian Restaurant) 3555 Murphy Road (@ Renner Rd). Attendees will study the Constitution, learn about on-going violations and solutions proposed in the Articles of Freedom - the Work of the citizen-convened Continental Congress 2009, and decide legal and constitutional actions to hold government accountable to the Constitution.  The first meeting on Sept. 14th will provide an introduction and orientation to the materials and the plan.  Those who wish to attend should RSVP to http://www.meetup.com/Articles-of-Freedom-TX-Murphy-area/

Operation People Power is an outgrowth of the citizen-convened Continental Congress, which was held November 11-21, 2009 in St. Charles, Illinois.  116 citizens from 48 states (North Dakota and Oklahoma were not represented) gathered to discuss fourteen major violations of the Constitution and their injury to America and her People, emerging with a substantial document called the “Articles of Freedom.” (see www.articlesoffreedom.us) The document includes Remedial Instructions directed to federal and state officials to stop the violations and reverse the wrongs. Concerned citizens in every state served the Articles of Freedom to federal and state officials on April 19, 2010.  The Meetup Groups are believed to be the next appropriate step in the process.

Restoring the Constitution in America would mean a drastic change in government.  A constitutional government would stop and reverse the chain of distresses and uncertainties facing America now, meaning no more unconstitutional acts by elected officials and as such: no more undeclared wars, no more corporate welfare, no more fiat currency, no more unconstitutional debt, no more un-enumerated programs and activities, no more direct taxes on labor, no more un-enforced immigration laws, no more machine-counted votes, no more loss of privacy, and no more meddling in the internal affairs of foreign countries. The “Articles of Freedom Meetup Groups” will establish a civic education and civic action process which will lay the foundation for constitutional citizen vigilance in every state.

 “Operation People Power is a plan and process that can (and must) be implemented in communities across our land if we are to restore the Constitution and shift the ultimate power in our society from the Government back to the People where it was meant to reside in the first place,” said Bob Schulz, the founder and Chairman of the We The People Foundation for Constitutional Education. “We know many of our residents are very concerned about the future and hope they will come to the orientation meeting and learn more about The Plan.  What we are doing is beyond tea parties, beyond elections, and beyond politics.
