October 20 Work Session - School trustees will conduct a work session on Tuesday, October 20, to begin at 6:00 p.m. at the Sockwell Center, 6301 Chapel Hill Boulevard in Plano. The school board will hear and discuss a report to be presented by Deputy Superintendent Danny Modisette on the feeder school alignment process.
Feeder School Alignment Process
The Plano ISD Board of Trustees has appointed a Feeder School Alignment Committee and established a process for realigning the school district's three senior high school feeder patterns in keeping with the 2002 Blue Ribbon Boundary Committee recommendations. The committee, composed of district and community representatives, will also make recommendations for Otto Middle School and McMillen High School opening in 2010 and 2011, respectively. Having completed initial planning sessions and three public hearings, the Feeder School Alignment Committee is now considering several feeder scenarios and will work together to form its recommendation to the Plano ISD Board of trustees for consideration on November 3.
